Discussants: Stephen Hopkins, Giuseppe Vatalaro.

 

Speakers will examine similarities and differences between the three men
and focus in particular on their strategies for their respective parties
in the post-1945 period. How well did each and his party deal with the
problems of the Cold War?  How did each man deal with relations with the
USSR? What was the quality of their leadership and their approach to
their party memberships.
