The Labor and Working-Class History Association (LAWCHA) and the Pacific Northwest Labor History Association (PNLHA) are co-sponsoring a conference on history and current struggles --

Indigenous, Immigrant, Migrant Labour and Globalization,

at the Simon Fraser University Centre in downtown Vancouver, BC, June 6-8.

This will be an exciting trans-national gathering of scholars and activists including a plenary session on restoring the right to organize, addressed by AFL-CIO Director of Organizing Stewart Acuff.

To register, go online to www.pnlha.org. PLEASE NOTE: a block of hotel rooms in Vancouver are on hold until May 5th only, and it could be difficult to get a room after that. Cheaper conference registration rates are also in effect until May 5th.

For other questions, see http://www.lawcha.org or contact Jacob Remes
lawcha at duke.edu.

LAWCHA publishes a twice yearly newsletter (the recent one is on labor and politics), and a quarterly journal, Labor, Studies in Working-Class History of the Americas, edited by Leon Fink.

In Solidarity,
Michael Honey, President, LAWCHA
