The Pacific Northwest Labour History Association (PNLHA) and the Labor & Working Class History Association (LAWCHA), announce a joint conference

Indigenous, Immigrant, Migrant Labour & Globalization

June 6 - 8, 2008

Simon Fraser University at Harbour Centre Downtown Campus
515 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC

Immigrants and indigenous communities throughout North America made their own labour and political landscapes, while they adjusted to changing economic, colonial and cultural contexts. This conference will connect these histories with contemporary globalization, and consider how the labour movement can respond to the new demands of workers in shifting political and geographical locations.

For more information see the conference website:

sponsored by the SFU Centre for Labour Studies.
