Call for Papers

International Sociological Association Research Committee on Labour Movements
Barcelona, September 5 - 8 2008

Within the framework of the ISA Forum of Sociology in Barcelona, the Research Committee on Labour Movements is organising a conference stream with the general theme 'Re-empowering the Labour Movement' and an open stream for more general papers related to current developments in labour and trade unionism. There will be a panel on current European trade union responses to globalisation and other current challenges, convened by Rebecca Gumbrell-McCormick and Richard Hyman.

Deadline for expressions of interest: 29 February
Deadline for abstracts: 30 April
