http://labourhistory.net/news/i0804_41.php

Announcement: 2008 Kenny prize lecture, Thursday May 8, 4pm

This year the Robert S. Kenny prize for outstanding work in the field of Marxist and labour/left studies has been awarded to Andrée Lévesque for her book Red Travellers: Jeanne Corbin & Her Comrades published by McGill Queen's University Press.

The author will be presented with her prize, and will deliver the annual Kenny lecture, in the Maclean Hunter Room on the first floor of the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, 120 St. George Street, on the downtown campus of the University of Toronto at 4pm, Thursday May 8th.

The talk is entitled "'The Weakest Link': Jeanne Corbin's Québec Comrades" and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and make comments afterwards. We look forward to an interesting and informative meeting and hope to see you there.

Please feel free to pass this on to anyone you know who might be interested.

In solidarity,
Tom Reid
