Conference

Migrations, labour markets and economic development from Franco's Dictatorship to the Transition to Democracy

Pamplona (Spain) 22.11.2007-23.11.2007
Deadline: 15.11.2007

PUBLIC UNIVERSITY OF NAVARRA
DEPARTAMENTO DE ECONOMIA
INSTITUTO GERONIMO DE UZTARIZ, Pamplona (Spain)

The aim of the workshop is to make a contribution to the study of the migration process in Spain from Franco's Dictatorship to the Transition
to Democracy. This meeting offers an opportunity to discuss research findings, debate policy implications and strengthen comparative links on
Spanish internal migration and external migration to France, Germany and Switzerland. Research on migration can benefit from multidisciplinary
efforts, combining the connection between European labour markets in the "Golden Age" and the perspective of international organizations like the
European Economic Community (EEC) and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
