In 2004 the so-called "Trotzkismus-Archiv" (Trotskyism archive), established by professor Hermann Weber at Mannheim University in 1980, was handed over as contracted to the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The collection of the doyen of the research on communism in West Germany predominantly consisted of printed materials that have been indexed in
the FES Library. Especially for the reconstruction of dissident communist tendencies in German-speaking areas after 1945 the collection is of particular importance. The inventory can be ordered free of charge from the library (contact: Hilke Everding: hilke.everding at fes.de).
