Autobiographies and newspapers on social mobility
For a study on social mobility in the past three centuries, am looking
for non-European (collections of) autobiographies or interviews that
deal with social mobility issues, i.e. when, how and why someone entered
the labourmarket and progressed on it, and if he or she choose the same
occupation as the father or mother. These sources may be unpublished. I
would also appreciate references to non-European historical studies,
that I might not know, based on such sources.
I am also looking for (collections of) non-European newspapers with job
advertisements, shedding light on the question for what type of jobs
advertisments are made and what the specified job requirements are. I
would also appreciate references to non-European historical studies,
that I might not know, based on such sources.
